RBI bildar kommitté för att studera kvantteknik inom finans

Reserve Bank of India har inrättat en panel med åtta medlemmar för att undersöka tillämpningar av kvantteknik inom finanssektorn. Gruppen har i uppdrag att utvärdera både potentiella fördelar och tillhörande risker under de kommande månaderna.

Kommittén kommer att fokusera på möjligheter, utmaningar och hot kopplade till kvanttekniska framsteg. Den ska även bedöma hur förberedda indiska finansinstitut är för relaterade säkerhetsfrågor.

BlackRock, Coinbase, Strategy and six other firms have formed the Bitcoin Security Consortium to fund research protecting the network from future quantum computing risks. The group announced its formation on July 23 with a combined pledge of 15 million dollars over three years.
