Den svenska regeringen har avsatt 55 miljoner kronor till Finger-metoden, som påstås kunna förebygga demens. Flera forskare har dock uttryckt tvivel om metodens vetenskapliga underlag och kritiserat satsningen hårt.

Socialstyrelsen och Miia Kivipelto, geriatrikprofessor och huvudforskare bakom metoden, har nu svarat på kritiken. De bemöter de negativa rösterna i en artikel i Dagens Nyheter.

"Jag blir bara ledsen. Det är väldigt oprofessionellt", säger Kivipelto om forskarkritiken.
