Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan completed contract extensions with two key young players this week. The deals cover outside linebacker Nick Herbig and tight end Darnell Washington. Khan also added depth by signing tight end Robert Tonyan and linebacker Jamin Davis.
Khan finalized a four-year, $100 million extension with Herbig. The pass rusher recorded 7.5 sacks last season while starting just six games. His deal carries an average annual value of $25 million. A separate four-year, $42 million agreement was reached with Washington. The tight end posted career highs of 31 receptions and 364 yards in 2025 while continuing to excel as a blocker. The team also signed Tonyan, who previously played with quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, and Davis, a former first-round pick. Both players received invitations to minicamp and will compete for roster spots.
