Steve Sullivan utsedd till huvudtränare för Toronto Marlies

Steve Sullivan har utsetts till huvudtränare för Toronto Marlies och ersätter John Gruden, som har gått vidare till Maple Leafs ledarstab.

Sullivan tillträdde tjänsten på torsdagen. Han återvänder till klubben i American Hockey League efter att ha varit assisterande tränare under två säsonger och en kortare tid arbetat med Maple Leafs powerplay.

Gruden har tagit en roll i Jim Hillers stab hos Maple Leafs. Sullivan, 51, från Timmins, Ontario, har tidigare arbetat under Torontos nye general manager John Chayka i Arizona.

Det meddelades även att Mark Giordano blir assisterande tränare på heltid för Marlies. Laget har släppt sitt spelschema för 2026-27, med hemmapremiär den 3 oktober mot Hamilton Hammers.
