Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to head a purported government council, said on Monday he borrowed N400 million to obtain his appointment letter. He also stated his life is in danger and rejected suggestions he plans to flee Nigeria.
Adeniyi Adeyemi appeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday. He said he borrowed the N400 million from people who have now petitioned the EFCC for repayment.
Adeyemi added that he fears for his life after multiple alleged attempts on him. He insisted he remains in Nigeria and has not gone into hiding.
The Presidency has described the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council as nonexistent. It issued a disclaimer in June and directed the ICPC to investigate the matter.
