Analyst predicts Aaron Rodgers will struggle in 2026

Yahoo Sports analyst Frank Schwab said Friday that he expects Aaron Rodgers to face significant challenges during the 2026 NFL season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Schwab drew comparisons to Brett Favre's final season, noting that Favre "hit the wall hard" and suggesting a similar outcome for Rodgers.

"Quarterbacks at Aaron Rodgers’ age do not play well," Schwab said on the Yahoo Sports Daily show. "They’re usually retired. They’re usually on a beach somewhere by now. So I could see Aaron Rodgers really struggling this year."

Rodgers guided the Steelers to a division title in 2025. Schwab also questioned the supporting cast and described new head coach Mike McCarthy as "kind of a Temu Mike Tomlin."

The Steelers have added receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and retained other offensive pieces that could provide Rodgers with more support than in the prior year.
