Former NFL linebacker LaVar Arrington said he lacks confidence that the Pittsburgh Steelers will perform better in 2026 with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.
Arrington made the comments on his podcast 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe. He pointed to limited roster changes and Rodgers as the main reasons for his doubt. The Steelers replaced longtime coach Mike Tomlin with Mike McCarthy this offseason. Arrington noted the defense should remain strong but called it aging despite some additions. Rodgers, who is 42, threw for 3,322 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2025. Arrington said the veteran remains the biggest question mark for the team's success. Rodgers previously worked with McCarthy for over a decade with the Green Bay Packers. The Steelers also added receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and rookie Germie Bernard while relying on a young offensive line.
