Bancolombia, Ecopetrol and Alpina rank at the top of the 17th edition of the Merco Talento 2026 ranking for their ability to attract and retain employees in Colombia.

The ranking was based on 75,964 surveys conducted between March and June 2026. The three companies scored 10,000, 9,657 and 8,423 respectively. Alejandro Botero, corporate vice president of Bancolombia, said the recognition reflects real opportunities for learning, well-being and growth in an environment that values diversity. Alpina rose to third place from fifth in 2025, displacing Nutresa which fell to 18th. Catalina Londoño Moreno, general director of Merco in Colombia, noted that the ranking helps analyze what professional profiles seek when considering a job change. Overall global satisfaction averaged 8.81 out of 10, similar to 2025. The eNPS recommendation score to family and friends dropped to 71.3 percent from 78.2 percent the previous year. Bavaria, EPM and Sura complete the next spots in the top 10.
