Bluetti launches charger 2 at CES 2026

Bluetti has introduced the Charger 2, a device that simultaneously charges portable batteries using solar panels and a vehicle's engine alternator. Unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, it offers faster charging speeds and compatibility with multiple power stations. The upgrade aims to benefit off-roaders and campers by ensuring reliable power on the go.

Bluetti's Charger 2 addresses a key limitation of its predecessor by integrating power from both solar panels and the engine alternator. Designed for off-roading and camping scenarios, the device connects to the vehicle's alternator to draw energy while driving, ensuring batteries arrive at destinations fully charged. For users with roof-mounted solar panels, the Charger 2 now allows simultaneous input, eliminating the need to choose between sources.

The dual-input system accepts up to 600W from solar panels and 800W from the engine, making it 13 times faster than a standard car charger, according to Bluetti. It intelligently manages energy sources based on availability and can handle multiple Bluetti power stations along with expansion batteries for larger setups. An added feature is the ability to jump-start the engine if needed.

Owners of the original Charger 1 can upgrade easily, as the new model uses the same cabling, avoiding messy rewiring. Bluetti offers this upgrade for $99 until February 7. For new buyers, the Charger 2 is priced at $349 through the same date, after which it rises to $499.

The launch occurred at CES 2026, held in Las Vegas from January 7 to 9. This event highlights ongoing innovations in portable power solutions for outdoor and mobile lifestyles.
