Chance the Rapper and Jeremih release holiday EP Secret Santa

Chance the Rapper and Jeremih have dropped a new five-track holiday EP titled Secret Santa on Christmas Eve. The project serves as a follow-up to their collaborative Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama series. It arrives on Soundcloud, featuring seasonal R&B vibes.

Chance the Rapper and Jeremih, both Chicago natives, continue their holiday music tradition with the release of Secret Santa on December 24, 2025. The EP, available on Soundcloud, includes five tracks: “Safe With Me,” “I Want What I Want,” “Black Santa,” “Gloria,” and “Bless Them All.” It builds on their previous collaborations, starting with the 2016 mixtape Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama, followed by the 2017 Re-Wrapped version and the 2020 edition, The Gift that Keeps on Giving.

The opening track, “Safe With Me,” sets a cozy winter tone. Jeremih sings in the chorus: “Don’t have to be left alone/By yourself on your own/Girl, you should be in some arms/Safe with me, far from home.” Chance contributes a verse: “It’s cold out there, it’s lonely outside/There’s ice on them roads, it’s slippery, don’t slide/It’s frozen outside, it’s snowing outside.” The duo teased the EP on Instagram hours before its drop, posting a snippet of “Safe With Me” and asking followers, “Should I upload tonight?”

Reflecting on their partnership, Jeremih shared in a 2017 Billboard interview how the original project came together quickly: “We did that project in a week and a half. I bumped into him at CRC Studios and he asked what I was working on. I told him, ‘Man, I’m just doing something for my fans for Christmas.’ He was like, ‘Fuck it. Let’s hit them.’ I’ve never been in the Christmas spirit ever. My whole family was dancing to Merry Christmas, Lil’ Mama. My grandpops was dancing to it.”

Jeremih previously released a solo holiday single called “Secret Santa” last year, showing his ongoing festive output. Chance, meanwhile, plans to extend the holiday spirit with a “Day after Christmas AfterParty” on December 26 in Chicago, with proceeds benefiting his nonprofit SocialWorks.
