Cloudy Christmas Eve for Luzon

As Filipinos gear up for Noche Buena, residents in the Bicol Region, Quezon and other Luzon areas can expect cloudy skies with chances of rain on December 24, according to PAGASA.

PAGASA forecasts cloudy skies and scattered rains and thunderstorms for the Bicol Region and Quezon due to the easterlies. Residents in these areas are warned of possible flash floods or landslides if rains intensify.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also be influenced by eastern winds, but expect only partly cloudy skies and isolated thunderstorms. Meanwhile, Cagayan, Isabela and Aurora will see cloudy skies and light rains from the northeast monsoon, though without significant impacts.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley and the rest of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy skies due to the northeast monsoon. PAGASA has not issued a gale warning, but cautions holiday travelers in northern Luzon about moderate to rough seas.

State meteorologists predict that rains across Luzon will ease by Thursday, allowing for fair weather on Christmas Day.
