Dalarna county population falls in first quarter

The population in Dalarna county decreased during the first quarter of the year. On March 31 2026 a total of 285955 people lived in the county according to SCB.

The number of residents was 88 lower than at the turn of the year. The decline occurred because more people died than were born during the period.

At the same time more people moved to the county than left it. This follows a pattern observed for several years.

The figures come from Statistics Sweden and cover the period up to March 31 2026.
