The first song from the soundtrack of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is now available to stream. Composer Olivier Derivière created the track titled ‘The Land’ for the upcoming prequel game.
The piece features vocals by Vasiliki Anastasiou and the Amalgamation Choir. Derivière said the music draws on Greek and Cypriot vocalists along with traditional instruments including yaylı tambur lutes and rebab spike fiddles.
Derivière described the track as the first song written for the project. He noted that it reflects the spirit of the character Sophia while also standing alone as a piece about origin and identity.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is scheduled to launch on August 27 for PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. The full soundtrack will become available on streaming platforms the same day, and the game will launch as a Day One title on Xbox Game Pass.
