Developers of the upcoming musical adventure game Mixtape shared detailed insights into the playlist that shapes the entire experience. Creative director Johnny Galvatron and producer Woody Woodward explained how they built the narrative around a curated selection of songs.
The team at Beethoven & Dinosaur started with the opening track “That’s Good” by DEVO and worked backward to create the game’s structure. Galvatron described the song as his favorite of all time and noted that protagonist Stacy Rockford’s mixtape serves as his “greatest hits of all time.” Each song was chosen to match specific scenes and emotions, from high-energy chases to reflective moments.
