House set to approve two Ledac bills on final reading

The House of Representatives is set to advance two key Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council priority measures for final approval as session resumes today. House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos identified them as the National Land Use Act and amendments to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Act. He also urged fast-tracking the Kalinga Act.

In Manila, House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos said the House of Representatives is set to move two key Ledac priority measures for final approval when session resumes today. “These are not theoretical proposals anymore. These are measures that have already moved through key stages, and what they need now is sustained floor work so we can bring them across the finish line before adjournment,” he said.

The National Land Use Act aims to provide a long-delayed framework for land use planning. Meanwhile, the amendments to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Act seek to strengthen and expand the government’s flagship social protection program.

Marcos also called on his House colleagues to fast-track the proposed Kalinga Act. The measure is designed to guarantee fast, targeted, and automatic government response when fuel price shocks from the Israel-US war against Iran drive up the cost of living for poor Filipinos, the middle class, and small business owners.
