Jack Draper has registered for the Brownsburg Challenger event scheduled for August 10-16. The move comes as the British player, ranked 147th, seeks ranking points following multiple injuries in 2025 and 2026.
Draper, who reached world No. 4 and a Grand Slam semifinal a year ago, has dealt with persistent physical issues. He missed most of the second half of 2025 with an arm injury and withdrew from the Australian Open. After returning at Indian Wells, where he defeated Novak Djokovic, a knee injury in Barcelona ended his clay season and forced him out of Madrid, Rome, Hamburg and Roland Garros.
Draper reached the Eastbourne semifinals on grass before the arm injury recurred, causing him to withdraw from Wimbledon against Taylor Fritz. He has received a wildcard for the Washington 500 but needs similar help or a strong qualifying run for the US Open.
The Brownsburg event offers a chance to collect points during the Canadian Open and Cincinnati. A former British Davis Cup captain noted the pattern of setbacks but expressed confidence in Draper's talent to recover.
