Former Indonesian President Joko Widodo expressed confidence that the Indonesian Solidarity Party will enter parliament in the 2029 election if party structures operate actively down to the village level.
Jokowi made the statement while attending the Regional Coordination Meeting of the PSI Tulang Bawang regional board in Lampung on Friday, 26 June 2026.
He praised PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep and party officials for strengthening the organization, including the Tulang Bawang board that has formed management down to the village level.
Jokowi stressed that party structures must actively help residents in daily life, such as attending funerals, weddings, and taking sick neighbors to hospital.
He said he is confident PSI will enter parliament in 2029 if all party levels work together, though cadres must still pursue a larger vote target.
