Kenya yazindua mkakati wa miaka 10 kuingia soko la EU

Serikali ya Kenya imezindua ramani ya miaka 10 ili kuwasaidia wakulima, watengenezaji na wauzaji nje kufikia soko la Umoja wa Ulaya lenye thamani ya trilioni 21.2 za dola.

Mkakati huo unalenga kutumia makubaliano ya ushirikiano wa kiuchumi kati ya Kenya na Umoja wa Ulaya ambayo yanaruhusu bidhaa kuingia bila ushuru au vizuizi vya idadi.

Waziri wa Uwekezaji, Biashara na Viwanda Lee Kinyanjui alisema mkakati huo utaimarisha mazingira ya biashara na kuvutia uwekezaji huku ukilenga maeneo sita muhimu kama viwango vya bidhaa na hatua za usafi.

Umoja wa Ulaya ni soko kubwa la mauzo ya Kenya likichukua asilimia 21 ya mauzo ya nje. Mnamo 2025, Kenya iliuza bidhaa zenye thamani ya dola bilioni 1.85 kwa EU.

Balozi wa Umoja wa Ulaya nchini Kenya Henriette Geiger alielezea uzinduzi huo kama hatua muhimu katika kuboresha uhusiano wa biashara kati ya pande zote mbili.
