Nigeria's daily oil production rises by 2.3% to 1.74 MBPD

Nigeria’s average daily crude oil and condensate production increased 2.3% to 1.74 million barrels per day in June 2026.

Data from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission showed the rise from 1.70 million barrels per day in May. Crude oil output alone reached 1.56 million barrels per day, or 104% of the country’s 1.5 million barrel OPEC quota.

This marked the fourth straight month of growth and the highest crude oil level since April 2020. Production improved steadily from 1.483 million barrels per day in February through June.

The regulator credited stable operations and fewer pipeline outages. Bonny Terminal led output at 318.28 thousand barrels per day.
