The National Transport and Safety Authority has directed vehicle owners to collect their physical logbooks within six months or risk disposal of the documents.
The National Transport and Safety Authority issued the directive in a notice dated June 11. It stated that it will not store uncollected printed logbooks beyond six months.
The Authority said the step addresses a backlog of uncollected documents while it moves to electronic logbooks. Vehicle owners must present the previous logbook and valid identification at collection centres.
Collection remains free. NTSA offices operate Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Owners can also visit the nearest Huduma Centre for assistance.
