Pirelli will continue supplying tyres to Formula 1 until the end of 2028 after activating a one-year option in its existing contract.
The Italian company has served as the championship's sole tyre supplier since replacing Bridgestone in 2011. Its current agreement, secured in 2023, runs through 2027 and also covers supply to F2, F3 and F1 Academy.
FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem said the extension provides stability and reflects strong collaboration. "Pirelli has been an important partner to the FIA Formula One World Championship for many years, providing a consistently high standard of performance, innovation, and safety at the highest level of our sport," he said.
F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali welcomed the continued partnership. "We’ve enjoyed an incredible history and partnership with Pirelli, relying on their technical brilliance and focus on performance, innovation, and sustainability for many years," Domenicali said.
Dario Marrafuschi recently succeeded Mario Isola as Pirelli's head of motorsport.
