Rolling Stones album wins Billboard new music poll

Foreign Tongues by The Rolling Stones topped this week’s new music poll on Billboard. The album received 42 percent of the vote after the poll closed on Sunday.

Listeners selected the band’s 25th studio album as their favorite new release. It beat entries from YEONJUN, Beyoncé and Feid in the poll that opened on Friday July 10.

Foreign Tongues contains 14 tracks recorded at Metropolis Studios in West London. Guest contributors included Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith and Chad Smith.

Mick Jagger said the sessions were intense and fast. Ronnie Wood noted the band was on top form and often nailed takes on the first try.

The album follows singles In the Stars and Jealous Lover. It includes two covers and features drums from the late Charlie Watts on one track.
