Sara Duterte maintains 54% satisfaction rating in SWS survey

Despite ongoing impeachment proceedings, Vice President Sara Duterte maintained a 54% satisfaction rating in the latest SWS survey.

The Social Weather Stations survey conducted from March 24 to 31 showed that 54% of respondents were satisfied with Vice President Sara Duterte, similar to the November 2025 poll. Twenty-five percent were dissatisfied while 21% were undecided, resulting in a net satisfaction of +29.

This is down from her record-high +77 in December 2022. It remains higher than President Marcos who recorded a poor -15 rating.

A separate Pulse Asia survey from May 3 to 7 showed 51% prefer Duterte over Leni Robredo in a hypothetical 2028 presidential matchup.

The House of Representatives is expected to vote Monday on transmitting articles of impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte to the Senate. Lawmakers say support has grown to at least 225 members, well above the 106 votes required.

The House justice committee unanimously voted on April 29 to find probable cause to impeach Vice President Sara Duterte based on two complaints. The complaints will be consolidated before transmission to the House plenary. If approved, Duterte would become the first Philippine official impeached twice.

San Juan City Rep. Bel Zamora believes the House committee on justice has a solid case for impeaching Vice President Sara Duterte and can secure enough votes for a Senate trial. She said they need around 106 votes, or one-third, and they have the numbers. Duterte's camp has filed a Supreme Court petition to halt the proceedings.

The House committee on justice is holding what is expected to be its final hearing on April 29 into impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte, zeroing in on allegations of death threats. The National Bureau of Investigation is set to present findings on Duterte's 2024 statements targeting President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez. The panel may vote on probable cause today.
