Retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady is in ongoing conversations with WWE, according to multiple reports. The discussions follow a public confrontation with Logan Paul at Fanatics Fest.
Brady appeared on Cody Rhodes' podcast and said he is waiting for an invite from WWE President Nick Khan. "I need to get an invite," Brady stated. "I feel like I'm retired from football and I have an opportunity to go out there, still showcase that I'm a little bit of an athlete."
TMZ Sports reported on July 20 that Brady and WWE are involved in active talks. The former quarterback slapped Paul during their Fanatics Fest appearance, reviving a feud that began at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic.
Brady previously called WWE "cute" and "scripted" earlier this year. Speculation about a WrestleMania 42 appearance did not lead to an on-screen role. It remains unclear what, if any, role Brady might play at SummerSlam scheduled for August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis.
