It follows the guiding principle: “Shuwaliid for our national unity and tourism development.”

The Ministry of Tourism issued a congratulatory message on the UNESCO inscription, stating it is “one of the prominent cultural practices among the Harari people.” The ministry noted that Harar, with its traditional attire, colorful costumes, and Harari hospitality, attracts domestic and international visitors.
