Virginia teens arrested in alleged family murder plot

Two teenagers in Virginia were arrested after police discovered a notebook outlining plans to kill one of their families during a traffic stop. Louis Conely, 19, and a juvenile suspect face conspiracy charges. The arrests followed a report of reckless driving on June 16.

Stafford County sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a vehicle striking a speed limit sign and fleeing. They located the car at a Wawa store, where they found Conely and the juvenile with unopened alcohol, stolen Buffalo Wild Wings food, multiple knives, and medical items.

A notebook belonging to Conely contained what police described as two detailed murder plots targeting the juvenile's family. The teens admitted to stealing the food, and Conely was also found with drugs.

Both were charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. Conely faces additional charges including hit-and-run, reckless driving, and possession of a controlled substance. He is held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on August 19.
