Volkswagen chief Blume to present reform plan to supervisory board

Oliver Blume will present his restructuring plan titled „Group Target Picture 2030“ to the Volkswagen supervisory board on July 9.

The chief executive plans to submit a catalog of measures more than 100 pages long to the board chaired by Hans Dieter Pötsch for approval. For the first time a resolution text is on the table.

Sources from the company’s inner circle say that on July 9 there will either be another postponement or an explosion of tensions. The plan reaches deeper than any previous proposals presented to the supervisory board.

The Wolfsburg-based group is seeking new paths with the move after years of following a principle of growth.
