Hong Kong customs officers have arrested a 46-year-old woman suspected of trying to smuggle seven animals into the city. The animals, including a chinchilla and a sugar glider, were hidden in paper bags and valued at about HK$4,300. The case has been referred to the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department for further investigation.

Hong Kong authorities uncovered 23 cross-boundary counterfeiting cases in a joint operation with mainland China and Macau in April, seizing about 46,000 items worth HK$16 million. The operation targeted express couriers and lorries at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. Two drivers were arrested and released on bail.
