Bambie Thug withdraws from Bludfest citing health needs

Bambie Thug has pulled out of Bludfest and will take a break from touring. The decision follows advice from management to focus on mental and physical health. The festival is scheduled for June 27 in Hradec Králové, Czechia.

Bambie Thug, whose real name is Bambie Ray Robinson, shared the news on Instagram on June 19. They expressed regret to fans who had planned to attend the event.

"I am so grateful to Yungblud for the opportunity, I really tried to make it work but unfortunately I won’t be taking to the stage for the foreseeable," the artist wrote. They added that they must prioritise mental and physical health at this time.

Bludfest is organised by Yungblud and marks its first edition outside the UK. Bambie Thug had been set to perform at the festival.

Robinson represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024 with the song Doomsday Blue, becoming the first openly non-binary act to do so for the country.
