Dog Witch unveils post-launch roadmap and livestream

Indie developer Heckmouse has shared the post-launch roadmap for DOG WITCH, a roguelike deckbuilder featuring a sentient puppy protagonist. The game, published by Mystic Forge, is set for imminent release with updates planned through March. A celebratory livestream is scheduled for November 5.

DOG WITCH combines deckbuilding, roguelike elements, and dice-driven mechanics in short runs where players control a puppy that gained sentience and must thwart its former evil sorcerer master. Customization options allow players to personalize their dog, with over 150 items and corrupted variants available from launch.

Post-Launch Roadmap

The roadmap outlines several updates following release:
- A quick patch shortly after launch will introduce Halloween-themed content.
- December's first major update adds post-run and overall gameplay statistics, unlockable dogs and rewards, and new cosmetics including the Weredog Hat, additional coats, and eyes.
- January's second major update features the Vampire Hat, leaderboards, expanded customization, a new item set, and a curse.
- March's third major update includes a mysterious third hat, further customization, a new item set, and a fourth world with six new enemies and two bosses.

Upcoming Livestream

To mark the launch, Heckmouse will host a livestream on November 5 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, accessible via Discord and Steam. Steam users can set reminders through the right-hand menu.

This roadmap highlights ongoing support for the title, blending fresh content with quality-of-life improvements to enhance player engagement.
