Goons disrupt traffic along Outer Ring Road, rob motorists

Suspected goons brought traffic to a standstill on Nairobi's Outer Ring Road on Friday evening, robbing motorists and pelting vehicles with stones around Kiamaiko Bridge and Kariobangi Roundabout.

Traffic along the road section remained at a standstill for more than three hours. Witnesses reported that the group barricaded the road and targeted drivers and passengers.

One person died from a gunshot wound and another was injured in the skirmishes. The demonstrators demanded the release of Abdul Aziz Mulo, alias Zizou, who has been missing for several days.

A concerned resident said: "The message is clear: End the abductions. Last time it was Chair Gorba, now it is Zizou." The National Police Service had not issued an official statement by the time of publication.
