The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry praised President Prabowo Subianto's policies on the Free Nutritious Meal program and food security during a meeting at the State Palace.
KADIN Deputy Chairman for Food Affairs Mulyadi Jayabaya conveyed the appreciation during a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in central Jakarta on Friday, July 31, 2026.
Jayabaya said the Free Nutritious Meal Program has helped schoolchildren in remote villages who previously skipped breakfast and lunch. He also stressed the importance of food security to meet the needs of Indonesia's roughly 280 million people through increased domestic production.
KADIN welcomed the simplified fertilizer distribution and urged better superior seeds and farmer financing access. KADIN Chairman Anindya Bakrie noted that President Prabowo has agreed to hold regular meetings with the chamber every three months.
