Matt Damon opened up about using a female stunt performer for key scenes in The Odyssey. The 55-year-old actor shared the details during a podcast appearance. He praised her work while joking about his own arms stealing the spotlight.
During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Matt Damon explained how a female stunt double stepped in for forced perspective shots involving seven-foot Laestrygonians giants. He described her as having "the greatest arms I’ve ever seen" and thanked her on set for the effort.
The double was used in scenes where giants loomed over his character Odysseus. Damon quipped that it was "almost 100 percent my arms in the movie" and gave credit where due.
Damon also praised director Sir Christopher Nolan, noting the shared physical discomfort on set during filming. He called the experience one of the most rewarding of his career, comparing it to classic epics made without green screens.
