Mayor Adanech Abiebie delivers encouraging message on police reform work

Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie praised ongoing efforts to build a capable and modernized police force in the city.

The mayor shared the message on her social media page after attending a review meeting on the 100-day reform plan carried out by the city's police leaders and members.

The reforms focus on good governance and service delivery to strengthen the police as a neutral institution that properly fulfills the trust placed in it by law and the public, serving Addis Ababa as a growing diplomatic center.

The city administration and residents support correcting mistakes that tarnish the institution's and force's name while encouraging good performance, she confirmed.
