C5 cameras recorded the path, and other drivers tried to alert the motorist without success. The Mexico City Attorney General's Office (FGJCDMX) opened an investigation file for aggravated culpable homicide with failure to provide aid. Unofficially, the responsible party is Gabriela 'N', 43 years old and employed in the health sector, though no arrests have been made.
On January 5, authorities located the abandoned vehicle in the Ampliación Ciudad Lago neighborhood, Nezahualcóyotl, with damage to the front and undercarriage; it was seized for forensic analysis in mechanics, biological traces, and structural damage. That same day, around 15:00 hours, about 12 motorcyclists protested at Calzada de Tlalpan and Coruña under the 'Justicia Biker' banner, demanding the culprit's capture.
