Young man arrested with 83 doses of bazuco in Neiva

A 21-year-old man was detained in Neiva for allegedly distributing narcotics in small quantities. The arrest took place in the Falla Bernal neighborhood during a police operation. Authorities found 83 doses of bazuco on him.

In the Falla Bernal neighborhood, located in northern Neiva, the capital of Huila, agents from the Special Operations Group (Goes) of the Metropolitan Police conducted control and registration plans. During this operation, they arrested a 21-year-old man in the act, who allegedly was involved in the distribution and sale of narcotics in small quantities.

Colonel Héctor Jairo Betancourt Rojas, commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, reported that 83 doses of bazuco were found on the individual. “The police achieved the arrest in flagrante delicto,” the officer stated.

Following the detention, the young man was placed at the disposal of the on-duty URI prosecutor's office to answer for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics. This action is part of police efforts to combat micro-trafficking in the area.
