智宇航天科技有限公司(Z-Trak Space)宣布达成一项合作,将开发利用超临界二氧化碳为小型火箭提供冷发射系统的技术。

这家总部位于湖南株洲的公司于去年成立,此次与赤阳航天动力技术有限公司建立了合作伙伴关系。该消息于周一公布,并于周二发布了声明。

该技术利用超临界二氧化碳产生高压气体,将火箭弹出至空中。随后火箭发动机在预定高度点火,从而避免了废气与地面平台之间的接触。

智宇航天表示,该方法有望实现低成本、高频次、快速响应的商业发射,并从根本上改变小型液体燃料运载火箭的发射模式。
