Red Hook Studios has announced The Fire's Edge, the first DLC for the original Darkest Dungeon in six years. The add-on launches on August 18 for PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo platforms.
The expansion brings two heroes from Darkest Dungeon 2 into the 2016 game. The Duelist serves as a complex damage dealer who switches between aggressive and defensive stances. The Runaway introduces the burn damage mechanic and focuses on stealth.
Three new districts will join the Hamlet: Academie Duello, Craftworks, and Archaeological Base Camp. Additional updates include reworked trinkets along with new tools, writing, events, and surprises.
The release marks the original game's tenth anniversary. An Xbox version remains without a confirmed date. Red Hook has also teased a separate DLC for Darkest Dungeon 2 expected in early 2027.
