Father and daughter shot at Florida McDonald's

A father and his 11-year-old daughter were shot while waiting in their car at a McDonald's in Hallandale Beach, Florida. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and involved a targeted altercation with a restaurant employee.

Police said the victims were innocent bystanders caught in gunfire during an ambush in the parking lot. The child's mother was inside ordering food when shots rang out.

Hallandale Beach Police Capt. Megan Jones stated that two other children, ages 2 and 5, were also in the vehicle but were not injured. Both the father and the 11-year-old girl were taken to the hospital and remain in stable condition.

Authorities identified McDonald's employee Ralph N-Kosi Blue III as the shooter and arrested him on Monday. Investigators determined the incident originated outside the city and ended at the restaurant where Blue was reporting to work. Other participants fled the scene.
