Mercedes and Ferrari will receive homologation tokens to improve their Formula 1 engines under the ADUO system. Red Bull Ford Powertrains has been confirmed as having the leading V6 combustion engine.
Following measurements after the Canadian Grand Prix, the FIA determined performance deficits among V6 engines. Mercedes exceeds the 2% threshold and qualifies for one token, while Ferrari, more than 4% behind, is set to receive two tokens. An official announcement is expected as early as Monday, 14 days after the Canadian Grand Prix per regulations. Lewis Hamilton revealed the order after the Monaco Grand Prix, noting Red Bull Ford Powertrains leads, followed by Mercedes and then Ferrari. Hamilton told Sky Sports F1 that the development work is an eight-to-10-month project.
