Mercedes-Benz sells dealerships in Berlin and Brandenburg

Mercedes-Benz has announced the sale of its dealerships in Berlin and Brandenburg to Global Auto Holdings. The deal covers seven locations and more than 1,100 employees.

The Stuttgart-based company said on Tuesday evening that its Berlin-Brandenburg branch will be taken over by UK-based Global Auto Holdings. Five dealerships are in Berlin and two in Brandenburg. The transaction remains subject to antitrust clearance and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.

Global Auto Holdings already runs Mercedes-Benz operations in Britain and the United States. Mercedes-Benz first announced plans to sell its dealership network in 2024, when about 80 sites employing roughly 8,000 people were affected.

In recent months the manufacturer has completed sales of other branches, including in Neu-Ulm, Koblenz and Dortmund. Contracts for additional locations such as Aachen and Hannover were signed earlier in 2026.
