West Java Police revealed alleged repeated torture and confinement suffered by YTR over two years with Taufik Hidayat. The violence included cigarette burns and repeated beatings.
West Java Police Chief Irjen Pol Rudi Setiawan said the violence occurred repeatedly from May 2024 until June 2026. The victim was burned with cigarettes, hit with a helmet and small table, and locked in a boarding room.
The couple met via the Tinder app in 2024 before living together. YTR told her family she moved for work in Majalengka, but was never found there.
CCTV footage showed Taufik taking YTR to RSHS at dawn. Medical staff suspicion prompted the police report. Governor Dedi Mulyadi said Taufik had tried to meet him for clarification in early 2026.
