Speculation has emerged that Roman Reigns will face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of night two at WWE SummerSlam. The two-night Premium Live Event is scheduled for August 1 and 2.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the Sunday main event is expected to feature the world title match. He stated that nothing has been announced yet but the belief is that Reigns versus Rollins would close night two.
Tensions escalated this week on WWE Raw when a war of words between the two wrestlers turned physical. The altercation has fueled interest in their potential showdown.
SummerSlam marks the second consecutive year the event spans two nights. Other matches announced include Liv Morgan defending the Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY and Brock Lesnar facing Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell match.
