After the June 24 quakes, the death toll reached 1,450 on Sunday as international teams continue search efforts in La Guaira.
The two earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck Venezuela on June 24. The coastal state of La Guaira suffered the greatest impact, with 774 buildings collapsed.
On Sunday, National Assembly President Jorge Rodríguez reported the death toll had reached 1,450, along with 3,150 injured and 12,721 affected. More than 2,378 rescuers from 25 countries, along with 140 dogs, are taking part in operations.
Successful rescues included an 11-year-old boy on Saturday and Belkys Barreto, freed after 86 hours under rubble. The European Union announced 5 million euros in emergency aid.
