According to INDEC data, 501,900 Argentines traveled abroad in June while 329,200 foreign tourists entered, resulting in a negative balance of 172,700 visitors. The first half of the year showed a 25% improvement over the previous year.
The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses reported that June's tourism balance had a negative result of 172,700 visitors. This stemmed from 501,900 residents departing and 329,200 non-residents arriving.
Emissive tourism fell 22% year-over-year, while receptive tourism rose 3.3%. In the first half of the year the deficit shrank 25.11% to 3,485,700 visitors.
Spending figures showed foreigners left 608.8 million dollars in the second quarter, up 13.8% from 2025. Argentines spent 1,360.7 million dollars abroad, a 2.9% decline.
