Bethesda has stated that recent staff reductions at its studios will not alter the development timeline for The Elder Scrolls 6. The company responded to questions raised after earlier reports suggested potential delays. This comes amid broader changes at Xbox-owned teams.
Bethesda replied directly to inquiries from MrMattyPlays that the roadmap for The Elder Scrolls 6 is unaffected. The response came in an email shared via a video published on July 22.
Earlier in July, after Xbox announced roughly 3,200 redundancies across its studios, some Bethesda staff told IGN the cuts would have a substantial and cascading effect on the project. Bethesda also confirmed it is handling optimizations for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
The studio said it chose to announce multiple projects, including four new Fallout games, at once to clarify its plans. It added that the move was not directed by Xbox CEO Asha Sharma.
