Danish logistics giant DSV/Schenker has become the first European company to deploy autonomous trucks on commercial long-haul routes.
Since mid-May the company has operated its 370-kilometre route between Dallas and Houston with a driverless truck.
Helmut Schweighofer, CEO of DSV’s road transport division, said the technology would soon be introduced in Germany as well. He gave no specific date.
DSV had previously run a pilot project at level 2 plus with dm and Iveco.
