Finn Wolfhard has released his first solo album since Stranger Things concluded its run. The record, titled Fire From The Hip, draws on character-driven stories rather than personal experiences.
The 23-year-old Canadian actor and musician spoke about the album in an interview conducted in London. He described writing the songs last year while experimenting with narratives about other people or fictional figures.
Wolfhard noted the DIY style of the collection and its cover art, which features him in a duel with himself. The artwork draws from nautical and historical themes to reflect themes of dual identity.
He also discussed influences including early Wilco and the Rolling Stones, along with country elements from band members based in Kentucky and Illinois. The album is available now.
