Janel Grant, Vince McMahon, and WWE filed a joint motion on Thursday to move their sex trafficking lawsuit into private arbitration. The filing seeks to adjourn a June 16 hearing while the parties discuss the agreement. A judge has not yet ruled on the motion.
The joint motion was filed in federal court on June 11. It proposes that the parties file a status report within 21 days after the hearing is adjourned.
The lawsuit was originally filed by Grant in January 2024. It alleges sexual abuse and trafficking during her time working with WWE under McMahon.
The filing states the parties seek relief in good faith to avoid consuming court and party resources. McMahon has denied the allegations and cited a nondisclosure agreement signed by Grant.
