Madonna premiered her 13-minute visual project Confessions II at the Tribeca Festival on June 5 at New York's Beacon Theatre. The short film centers on the first six tracks from her upcoming album of the same name, due July 3.
The premiere featured a sold-out screening followed by a Q&A moderated by Anderson Cooper with directors David Toro and Solomon Chase. Madonna discussed the project's creation and her recent Times Square pop-up performance the night before. The film includes cameos from Benedict Cumberbatch, Sabrina Carpenter, Feid, Debi Mazar, Julia Garner, Honey Dijon, Shygirl and Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon. It showcases four unreleased songs from the album: Good for the Soul, One Step Away, Danceteria and Read My Lips. The project will debut on YouTube on June 8. Madonna also noted the album's connection to her 2005 release Confessions on a Dance Floor and mentioned an upcoming World Cup halftime show on July 19 with BTS and Shakira.
